5. Send
On this page
- Tap Send, then choose the Asset to send (Select token). Enter an amount. Max fills in your full balance.
- Enter the Receiving address, or pick one from your Address book.
- PortaWallet checks the address (Analyzing the address...) and shows a risk label:
- "This address is low risk and should be safe to transact with."
- "This wallet has been identified as medium risk. Continuing may result a loss of funds. Please proceed with caution."
- High risk address. Stop and double-check before you continue.
- Tap Review transfer.
Possible errors:
- Invalid recipient address. The address isn't a valid 0x address.
- Insufficient balance. Lower the amount or add funds.
"Smart contract wallet account needs to be deployed"
PortaWallet uses a smart account. On a new network, it has to be set up once before its first use. Tap Deploy and follow the steps. The setup needs a small amount of that network's fee token (for example ETH on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base or Optimism, MATIC on Polygon, AVAX on Avalanche, or BNB on BNB Chain) on your wallet address.
Review and confirm a transfer
The review screen shows:
- Sending token with the amount and its approximate USD value (≈ $)
- To: the recipient
- Network network fee: the estimated gas cost. If the fee can't be estimated, it shows "—" and you can't confirm yet. Wait a moment or go back and try again.
- Total send amount
Tap Confirm transfer. You'll first see Transaction in progress ("Please wait until the transaction is registered"). Then a Transfer summary appears with Completed and the Transaction ID. Tap Go to portfolio to finish.
Transfers on a blockchain can't be undone. Check the address and network before you confirm.
