1. Platforms & getting the app
PortaWallet is one wallet across five platforms. Your secret phrase works on all of them, so you can import the same wallet anywhere. Your unlock password, on the other hand, is set separately on each device.

What's different on each platform
Most screens and labels are the same everywhere. The table below lists only the places where the code differs.

Using the web app
In a browser, PortaWallet keeps your wallet data on this device only.
- You'll see: "You're using Porta in a browser. Create, import, and unlock work here — this session is stored on this device only (not Telegram CloudStorage) and may be temporary."
- Sign in with Continue with email. "Google sign-in isn't available in the browser yet. Use email."
- When you create a new account, check your email to activate it, then sign in.
- Clearing your browser data removes the wallet from that browser. Keep your secret phrase so you can import it again.
Using the browser extension
The extension (Porta Wallet for Chrome) opens from your browser toolbar. Create or import a wallet the same way as on the other platforms.
The extension's unlock password is stricter. It must be 12–63 characters and include an upper-case letter, a lower-case letter, a number and a special symbol. If it doesn't, you'll see: "Password must be 12–63 chars with upper, lower, number, and special symbol".
